Quite some interesting information and news from the Kurdish regions – Bakur (Turkey), Başȗr (Iraq), Rojava (Syria) and Rojhilat (Iran) – is rarely, if ever, reported by the mainstream media.

The Kurdish Institute tries to fill this gap by reporting on a regular basis through its own news page recent facts and events, both from the Kurdish regions and from the rest of the world.

Roj TV: The Victim of Turkey’s Political Game, Naila Bozo

On January 12th, 2005 the Turkish Embassy in Denmark filed a complaint <http://merlin.obs.coe.int/iris/2005/7/article17.en.html> against the Kurdish TV-channel Roj TV to the Danish Radio and Television Board for being a mouthpiece for the Kurdish rebel group, PKK.

Kurdish (Kurmanjî) course

This fall we will start a basic course in Kurdish, without required knowledge, starting the first week of September. Beginning 2014 we will start a second, advanced cycle. Also will we organize a group trip to Kurdistan.

Final Resolution – Conference for Democracy and Peace (Ankara)

The final resolution of the Conference for Democracy and Peace, which took place from 25 – 26 May in Ankara, has now been published. The purpose of this conference was to analyse the steps required to solve the Kurdish question during the negotiation process.
