NEWS CENTER (DIHA) – Kurdish politicians and intellectuals are going in an indefinite and irreversible hunger strike in Brussels city of Belgium. KONGRA GEL (Kurdish People Congress) Head Remzi Kartal, KCK (Union of Communities in Kurdistan) Executive Council Member Zubeyir Aydar and PJAK (Party of Free Life of Kurdistan) Head Haci Ehmedî are among those, who began on the hunger strike.

Hundreds are on hunger strike (some of them since 12 September) in prisons across Turkey. Lawyers told Amnesty International that prison authorities have denied many hunger strikers access to medical care, further threatening their health.
