Kurdish state being built in Mideast, says BDP’s Demirtas

A Kurdish state is being constructed in the Middle East, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtas has said in the southeastern province of Batman during a rally to support Kurdish inmates conducting a hunger strike on Oct 27.

Today, it has been 43 days since Kurdish political prisoners in the Turkish prisons began an indefinite hunger strikes on September 12, 2012. At this moment, health status of prisoners on hunger strike are severely impaired and came to a very critical stage.

As it is known on 12th September 2012, led by nine Kurdish women prisoners in Diyarbakir E type prison an indefinite and non-alternate hunger strike started. This strike has increased to almost all prisons in Turkey.
