“DTP Operation Violates Right to Defence”

Lawyer Muharrem Erbey of Diyarbakir's Human Rights Association says that the DTP members arrested do not know what they are being accused of. More than 250 people are said to have been detained, and around 80 arrested.
On 14 April, 53 members of the pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP) were taken into custody. A court has decided on the arrest of all but two of them. They were taken to the Diyarbakir D Type prison.
